The 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo on June 22-25 in Indianapolis is where the confectionery and snack industries will find more than two years’ worth of products on the show floor, and the excitement for the show continues to grow. Today, the Sweets & Snacks Expo released the top trends for the 2021 confectionery and snack categories, and these explosive trends will be seen on the show floor in Indianapolis.

At the 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo, Destination Retail is where retailers and manufacturers can get informed on the latest retail merchandising trends and technologies.

For the first time in the history of the Sweets & Snacks Expo, over 400 of the top candy and snack companies will head to Indianapolis to celebrate two years of the industry’s most innovative products. Indianapolis has played host to important events this year, including the NCAA Men’s March Madness basketball tournament, and the Sweets & Snacks Expo will join these events to give the candy and snack industries the chance to get back to business and deliver the latest innovations from some of America’s favorite candy and snack companies.

At the 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo, attendees will be able to make connections, check out the latest innovative candy and snack products, discover new ways to showcase their products and attend education sessions to gain additional insights. The educational opportunities give attendees access to category specialists who will discuss the latest on industry performance, trends and consumer behavior.

Ahead of the 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo, the nomination process is now open for the Ruby Award for Supplier Innovation, an honor given annually to a National Confectioners Association supplier member company for advancing the confectionery industry through breakthrough innovation. The award is named after its first recipient, Barry Callebaut, for its creation of Ruby chocolate.

The National Confectioners Association announced that Voortman®, which was acquired by Hostess Brands, LLC in 2020, has been named the “Official Cookie” of the 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo. With this designation, the Voortman brand will have a widespread presence across the show, which regularly draws thousands of confectionery and snack industry professionals.

The Sweets & Snacks Expo is excited to announce that it is now accepting submissions for the ‘Most Innovative New Product Award’ through May 28, 2021. This is one of the most competitive awards that recognize the most innovative candy and snack products during the past year.

The Sweets & Snacks Expo announced that registration is open for the 2021 show, taking place this year from June 22-25 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Organized by the National Confectioners Association, the Sweets & Snacks Expo is the largest show in North America representing the confectionery and snack industries.
